Two residents have died in an East Kilbride care home at the centre of a coronavirus outbreak. The East Kilbride News revealed on Friday that there were two confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Whitehills Care Home.

But today the owners of the facility, Thistle Healthcare, have confirmed the two deaths with 12 residents now also showing sypmtoms.And the nursing home are also still looking for more supplies of protective personal equipment (PPE).The care home operators say PPE supplies have been delivered (gloves, aprons, masks and goggles), although not enough to meet demand, so they will have to try to continue sourcing additional equipment themselves.However, Thistle Healthcare say extra precautions have been put in place with all residents
