A woman has said it took just a matter of hours for coronavirus to "ravage" her 58-year-old mum. Distraught Candice Blythe said she couldn't believe the last time she would see her mum Anne alive would be in the back of an ambulance.
The mum-of-three from Harlow, Essex, was surprised by her daughters Candice and Louise, 37, for an early Mother's Day meal on March 14.
But the following week she developed coronavirus symptoms including fatigue and a cough. Initially, Anne appeared to be recovering, but she was later rushed to Harlow's Princess Alexandra Hospital after her condition took a turn for the worse.
