CORONAVIRUS deaths in South Lanarkshire are at their lowest for six weeks.Figures released by the National Records of Scotland today (Wednesday, May 20) revealed that 26 people died from coronavirus last week, less than any of the previous five weeks.Last week, the number of deaths fell by 27 per cent and it was the third consecutive week the number of deaths in the region has fallen.However, the number of deaths in care homes increased by two last week to 14.In total, 252 people in South Lanarkshire have died from coronavirus, of which 110 were in care homes, 115 were in hospital and 27 were in other settings including at home.Neighbouring North Lanarkshire saw coronavirus deaths increase by a third to 20 last week bringing the total there
