Police to assist with probe into coronavirus deaths in Scottish care homes

Police are set to support an investigation into care home deaths in Scotland throughout the coronavirus pandemic. It comes as First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has faced increased calls for an inquiry into the number of deaths in care homes across the country.

Cops released a statement saying they will help with an inquiry, however insisted their involvement with the Crown Office and PF office and does not mean at this stage that criminal offences have been made.
