ERNAKULAM : Kerala on Friday confirmed nine more covid-19 patients, announced the state's chief minister Pinaray Vijayan.
This takes the total number of coronavirus cases in the state to 295, out of which 251 are active patients, two have died earlier and the rest have recovered.
Seven of the fresh cases are from Kasargod, one each is from Thrissur and Kannur districts, said Vijayan. Of the total, he added, 206 are foreign returnees, seven are foreigners, 78 are contacts of existing patients.
The 14 people recovered on Friday includes one health worker, he said. Three of the fresh cases on Friday attended the religious event in Delhi's Nizamuddin, now a coronavirus hotspot in India, he added.
