Mega study shows blacks, Asians have increased COVID-19 infection riskA meta-analysis of 50 studies and 18,728,893 US and UK patients with COVID-19 found that black people were 2.02 times more likely and Asians 1.50 times more likely to be infected with COVID-19 compared with white people.
The researchers also found that Hispanic people had a 1.77 adjusted risk ratio (RR), but none of the applicable studies had been peer reviewed.In the study, published in EClinicalMedicine today, UK researchers screened more than 1,500 papers, choosing the final study collection and measuring for infection, admission to intensive care units (ICUs), and death.
