Ayrshire, new figures show. A total of 292 Ayrshire and Arran deaths have been linked to coronavirus since the pandemic began.The National Records of Scotland revealed today in its weekly report that four people died between Monday, June 15 and Sunday, June 21 – down from six the previous week.Across Scotland, the NRS report says 4119 deaths have been connected to the virus - fatalities linked to COVID-19 have now fallen for the eighth consecutive week.The rate of COVID-19-related deaths in Ayrshire has not increased since the week ending Sunday, April 19, when 53 people died.Across Ayrshire, 45 per cent of deaths took place in care homes (132), while hospital deaths (140) also accounted for 48 per cent of the figures.In East Ayrshire, 75.
