The Department of Health has been notified of a further 3,494 PCR-confirmed cases of Covid-19, as well as 3,609 positive antigen tests logged through the HSE portal on Sunday.
As of 8am today, 665 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised, of whom 67 are in intensive care. Yesterday, the Health Protection Surveillance Centre was notified of 4,331 PCR-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 2,950 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal the previous day.
On Saturday 12 February, the HPSC was notified of 4,940 PCR-confirmed cases of COVID-19. 3,650 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal the previous day.
Meanwhile, the wearing of masks in primary schools is among the topics to be discussed by the National Public Health Emergency Team when they meet this week.
