Margaret Ferrier has been hailed as "one of the best and brightest MPs" in Westminster by a top lawyer. The bizarre comment was made today by Geoffrey Robertson QC - a leading human rights campaigner - when asked about the possibility of increasing fines for people caught flouting lockdown rules.
The Metropolitan Police are investigating Ferrier after she travelled from London to Glasgow after testing positive for covid-19.
The shamed MP could face a £4,000 fine for a first-time offence of coming into contact with others when she should have been self-isolating.Appearing on Good Morning Britain today, Robertson said: "I have every interest in stopping these covidiots and I want them punished, but I want them punished properly."Margaret.
