Margaret Ferrier has no choice but to resign, a fellow Scottish National Party MP has said after she travelled by train to London despite having tested positive for coronavirus.
David Linden called his colleague's position "untenable" during a frank admission on BBC's Question Time on Thursday evening, just hours after the rule-breaking politician was suspended. "I’ve got to say I’m pretty furious with the behaviour of Margaret Ferrier MP...It’s utterly inexcusable and it’s right that she lost the whip for that," he said.
Ms Ferrier was among those who called for Boris Johnson's chief adviser Dominic Cummings to resign after he was found to have travelled the length of the country to Durham on numerous occasions after lockdown in March.
