Crystal Palace are planning a triple raid on Burnley for Sean Dyche, Dwight McNeil and James Tarkowski. Palace see Dyche as Roy Hodgson’s replacement and are considering bringing forward their original plan to move for the Burnley boss next year.
Palace could act this summer, when Hodgson turns 73, even though the former England manager signed a contract in March to remain in charge for next season.
They know Hodgson cannot go on forever and are worried they could miss out on Dyche if they wait until 2021. Dyche, who has guided Burnley to a fifth successive Premier League campaign, would not come cheap and the Clarets would demand £10million compensation for the £4million-a-year contract he signed in January 2018.
