GREENE COUNTY, Pa. - A Pennsylvania 911 operator faces a rare charge of involuntary manslaughter for failing to send an ambulance to the rural home of a woman who died of internal bleeding a day later, despite a plea from the woman's daughter that without medical help "she's going to die."A Greene County detective last week filed charges against Leon "Lee" Price, 50, of Waynesburg, in the July 2020 death of Diania Kronk, 54, based on Price's reluctance to dispatch help without getting more assurance that Kronk would actually go to the hospital."I believe she would be alive today if they would have sent an ambulance," said Kronk’s daughter Kelly Titchenell, 38.Price, who also was charged with reckless endangerment, official oppression and obstruction, questioned Titchenell repeatedly during the four-minute call about whether Kronk would agree to be taken for treatment.Price was arraigned June 29 and released on bail. PHILADELPHIA - A man is dead Saturday afternoon after police say he was the victim of a daytime shooting in Southwest Philadelphia.Police responded after a man was reportedly shot inside the front entryway of a home on 7300 block of Sanderling Place around 12:30 p.m.The 54-year-old victim suffered three gunshot wounds: the chest, shoulder and arm.He was transported to Penn Presbyterian where he was pronounced dead.Police say a weapon was recovered from the victim, but no arrest has been made.

TRENTON, N.J. - New Jersey Police say a four-month investigation led to the "dismantling" of a human trafficking network and the arrest of six suspects.Eleven female victims, including at least one juvenile, were smuggled into the U.S. from Mexico and forced into prostitution, according to police.The investigation began in January when officials reportedly obtained information that a juvenile was being trafficked out of a residence in Trenton.

ATLANTA - A metro Atlanta family is mourning the deaths of a brother and sister who died on vacation after being pulled from a Southwest Florida lake.Family members said 13-year-old Gabby Maria Walker and 7-year-old Jemel James "JJ" Walker were pulled from Lake Como, near Florida Gulf Coast University in Estero, Florida on the Fourth of July."All we know is that they were supposed to be on vacation. FRANKFORD - A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects in a late May homicide in Philadelphia’s Frankford section.Philadelphia Police’s Homicide Unit is seeking information on the identities and whereabouts of four men suspected in the shooting death of a 19-year-old man near Harbison and Tulip Streets in late May.Authorities say the shooting happened May 31, a little after 1:00 in the morning, on the 5500 block of Tulip Street. The 19-year-old victim was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

(FOX 9) - Big Lake police are warning parents to monitor their children’s cell phone activity after they say an 18-year-old man took a Greyhound bus from Chicago to Big Lake, equipped with gifts and flowers to meet an 11-year-old girl.According to the Big Lake Police Department, over the weekend officers responded to a report of a suspicious man/unwanted party at a residence. Through an investigation, authorities learned the 18-year-old man showed up at the residence with flowers and gifts for the homeowner's 11-year-old daughter.

LOGAN - Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that critically wounded a 30-year-old man.Officials say 35th District officers were called to the 1200 block of West Wingohocking Street, around 5:15 p.m., in Philadelphia's Logan section, on the report of a person shot.Witnesses described a black SUV idling on West Wingohocking about 20 minutes. One of the witnesses called police about the idling vehicle.At about that time, the vehicle moved forward at a slow rate of speed and within 200 feet or so, sideswiped a parked vehicle.

SPRINGFIELD, Pa. - The mother of a man arrested for a deadly road rage shooting in Springfield is now being charged in connection with the case. According to Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer, Amanda Washington was charged with hindering prosecution in the case relating to the death of 54-year-old King Hua. On June 29, Hua and his wife were driving south on State Road in the curb lane when Amanda Washington passed them on the shoulder in her dark blue Chevrolet Equinox, authorities say. Washington's son, 22-year-old Saddiq Washington, was in the passenger seat of the car and fired the fatal shots that killed Hua, according to police. Springfield Township's Chief Daly said "The suspect's vehicle pulls on to the shoulder of the road, got ahead of the victim's vehicle, got out of the vehicle, fired two shots at the vehicle which permeated the window, killing the operator." After the shooting, Amanda Washington and her son fled southbound at a high rate of speed, according to investigators. Police say surveillance video showing Washington's car and license plate coupled with witness testimony helped lead investigators to the suspects. Once officers arrived at the Darby address listed on the car's registration, they saw the vehicle in the driveway and began surveilling the house while waiting for a warrant, per authorities. According to police, Washington and two other females were seen leaving the Darby home and getting into the Chevrolet Equinox around 5 a.m.

PHILADELPHIA - Investigators with the Philadelphia Police Department are searching for a group of teenagers caught on video attacking a driver before stealing his car in Olney. According to police, the incident happened on Tuesday on the 600 block of West Fisher Avenue in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood. Authorities say the victim was sitting inside his 2007 Hyundai Elantra when he was approached by the group. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe group began to assault the man and he was able to get out of the car with minor injuries, according to investigators. Police say the group then drove off in the man's car towards 10th street. Video surveillance released by Philadelphia police appears to show several teens surrounding the victim's car and two of them appear to hit and kick the victim. Authorities have not specifically said the number of suspects they are looking for, but they did specify the group was comprised of teenagers. Police say no weapons were used during the robbery and anyone with information is urged to call police or submit an anonymous tip.

NEW DELHI : India has recorded 18,815 new cases and 38 deaths due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, data from the Union health ministry showed. The total number of active cases currently stands at 122,335, with around 525,343 fatalities reported due to the virus in the last two years. The total Covid cases have climbed to 43,585,554 so far.

As compared to yesterday's tally, India today reported 115 less daily COVID cases. The country also recorded a significant increase in recoveries with 1,249 more patients recovering today than yesterday. India recorded 18,815 fresh COVID cases and 38 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the Health Ministry data.

Japan’s former prime minister Shinzo Abe was in grave condition after reportedly being shot during a campaign speech in the western city of Nara on Friday.The country’s chief cabinet secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said the 67-year-old’s condition was unknown, but local fire officials confirmed local media reports that Abe was in heart failure when he was rushed to hospital.Authorities have arrested one man suspected to be the gunman.“Such an act of barbarity cannot be tolerated,” Matsuno told reporters at a media briefing.Kyodo News and public broadcaster NHK said witnesses heard a gunshot, followed by Abe collapsing to the ground bleeding. Philadelphia police seek the driver of a blue Ford F 150 after an 11-year-old boy was struck on West Girard Avenue. WEST PHILADELPHIA - An 11-year-old boy is fighting for his life after he was struck by a driver in a pickup truck in West Philadelphia.Officials say the incident occurred on the 4200 block of West Girard Avenue Thursday evening, around 7:45.The boy was crossing Girard Avenue when a man driving a blue Ford F 150 struck him.

Wagner Tejeda-Pena, 24, is wanted for allegedly shooting a 76-year-old man who was out on his routine morning walk in Philadelphia in June 2021.  PHILADELPHIA - Police have announced the name of a homicide suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Philadelphia. Authorities say 24-year-old Wagner Tejeda-Pena is wanted for the murder of 76-year-old Loi Nguyen, who was found shot once in the head near his driveway in the alleyway behind L and Claridge Streets in late June. Authorities say a man, identified by family members as 76-year-old Loi Nguyen, was shot in the head on his routine morning walk. Nguyen is remembered by neighbors for his friendliness.According to police, Ngueyn was out for his routine morning walk in his neighborhood when he was shot unprovoked. The incident was captured on surveillance video and footage from a neighbor is believed to show Tejeda-Pena running down an alleyway towards Hunting Park after the shooting. Police say the suspect is also wanted for an aggravated assault on the 1200 block of East Luzerne Street that took place about 15 minutes before the deadly shooting.According to authorities, Tejeda-Pena pulled out a handgun on two people and pulled the trigger several times, but the gun malfunctioned and did not fire.

HINESVILLE, Ga. - The high price of fuel has caused a lot of pain for drivers across the country, so one Georgia gas station gave back to the community on the Fourth of July with heavily discounted gas.On Monday, the A to Z Food Mart in Hinesville, Georgia dropped the price to less than $2 a gallon - less than half the average price in the Peach State, WTOC reported.People lined up around the block and waited for hours to fill up at the Chevron gas station off of West Oglethorpe Parkway. "Everyone’s wallet’s taking a hit right now in 2022, so the least we can do as a locally, independently owned convenient store is give back for the community," Ravi Patel, the owner of the gas station, told WTOC.The sale of gas lasted for just three hours. TRENTON, N.J. - New Jersey State Police announce arrests in a reported human trafficking ring, operating out of Trenton. Officials announced the arrest of eight individuals Wednesday, along with the dismantling of the ring, as a part of a four-month investigation.In January, according to authorities, detectives with the State Police Missing Persons and Human Trafficking Unit received information about a juvenile who had been trafficked from a residence on Hudson Street, in Trenton.A search warrant was executed and, in the process, detectives found two female victims in the residence.

PHILADELPHIA - A man is in critical condition after he was shot in North Philadelphia on Thursday, according to police. Authorities say officers responded to a 911 call for a shooting on the 2800 block of 6th Street around 2:40 a.m. Lt. PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are investigating a double shooting in Kensington that injured two people. According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, the shooting took place just before 1 a.m. on Thursday near E Orleans Street and Kensington Avenue. Officers responded to the scene and found a 17-year-old girl who was shot two times in the lower back and once in the leg, according to Small.
