A dad-of-two has been jailed after he breached coronavirus lockdown rules by throwing a massive street party. Stefan Balaci was swigging cider and waving a metal pole around when police arrived to his Scunthorpe home following reports there were 15 to 20 people drinking and arguing in the road.
Balaci was apprehended but said he knew nothing about the government’s guidelines about staying indoors and keeping to social-distancing and self-isolation rules.
The 42-year-old admitted breaching coronavirus lockdown laws with a requirement not to be in a group of more than two in public by attending a party and not being at home.
