The dad of a five-year-old girl battling Kawasaki disease has said schools need to 'move mountains' if children are to make a safe return on June 1.
Piers Roberts' daughter Scarlett was hospitalised weeks after recovering from a mild bout of coronavirus that she caught at school before the lockdown.
Scarlett was given a 20% chance of survival when she was struck down by the Covid-19 related disease, which inflames blood vessels.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Monday morning, Scarlett's dad Piers gave an update on her condition, saying she was making 'vast improvements', but revealed concerns about children returning to school in two weeks amid the health pandemic.
