A dad high on cocaine and cannabis who slashed and stabbed his girlfriend during a frenzy has walked free from court. Lee Jones, 47, woke up following a drugs bender convinced that people were trying to kill him and his partner Jennifer Ward.
He then went downstairs, grabbed a kitchen knife and cut Ms Ward’s neck, chest, stomach and leg in a frenzy. Jones, of Little Catharine Street, in the Georgian Quarter, confessed after police arrived and said he was “sorry”.
And the former bouncer was spared jail after both he and his victim said he didn't intend to hurt her and had "lost his mind".
