It may have been ‘the greatest experience’ of her career but for Daisy Lowe, the aftermath of Strictly Come Dancing took its toll on her health.
The model, who competed in series 14 of the show in 2016, has spoken openly about the anxiety and clinical depression she suffered following her stint on the BBC programme.
Speaking to psychotherapist John McKeown on her podcast The Wagon, Daisy says she was completely burned out by the time Christmas rolled in following the series finale.
Despite her grandfather Eddie passing away at the start of the competition, Daisy remained determined to keep going, encouraged by her grandmother to strive for the Glitterball trophy that would no doubt have made him proud.
