Rose of Tralee fans need not despair yet about the festival’s cancellation this year as its host Dáithí Ó’Sé is ‘100 per cent’ up for making a special show about the 60 years of the Co Kerry extravaganza.
News of the festival’s cancellation broke during the week but we may still get some Rose of Tralee-themed entertainment late in the summer if the show goes ahead.
Speaking to EVOKE as he urged the nation to enjoy hosting a Virtual Tea Day on 7 May to raise much-needed funds for Alzheimer Society of Ireland, Dáithí divulged that he’d love to make a programme looking back at six decades of the festival or the ten years he’s been hosting it.
