New Jersey - New Jersey's confirmed coronavirus cases reached 130,593 with 8,244 deaths as of Tuesday afternoon.
There was a total of 2,494 new cases of COVID-19 in the Garden State. The number of fatalities jumped by 1,054, which trends down just days after seeing a record number of deaths.
Gov. Murphy suggested a lack of faith in the accuracy of Monday's numbers due to a network outage experienced on Sunday. Murphy announced over the weekend 53 state hospitals will be receiving approximately $1.7 billion in federal aid.
