Danni Menzies 'grateful' to be working after 'tough time' as A Place in the Sun spin-off hits screens

Danni Menzies returns to screens today as part of a long-awaited A Place in the Sun spin-off. The Scots stunner is one of the fan favourites who will be fronting ' A Place In The Sun What Happened Next?’ to revisit families and couples who have taken the plunge to buy a property abroad on the popular Channel 4 show.Along with Jasmine Harman, Ben Hillman, Laura Hamilton, Leah Charles-King, Jean Johansson, Craig Rowe, Lee Juggurnauth and Sara Damergi, Danni will visit past stars of the programme who appeared as far back as 2007.The presenter took to social media today to express her excitement at the new gig as she shared a stunning montage of some of the scenes from filming the project, and she admitted she was grateful for the opportunity after a “tough time”.The star previously opened up about her frustration at not being able to work for up to four months because of trauma she experienced after being hit by a stolen moped in 2022.

Speaking after the ordeal, she revealed her mental health "wasn't great" in the aftermath. Updating fans ahead of the show launch on Tuesday, she said: “So when I got asked to work on this new series my pale skin was very excited to be back in the sunshine catching up with lovely house hunters that we’d helped find their homes in the sun.“I was so grateful to get back to work after a tough time and getting to kick off the show swimming on a horse is one of the best experiences of my life and I’ll cherish the memory forever. “I loved filming this show.
