NEW DELHI : National capital Delhi has been registering a sudden spike in daily new Covid-19 cases in the past fifteen days.
As the Delhi government has eased the Covid curbs and removed the mask mandate, the city saw a jump in positivity rate from 0.5% to 7.2% in a matter of few days.
The Delhi District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) is set to hold a meeting on 20 April in order to decide on methods to deal with the sudden surge in cases.
Delhi has also recorded more than 500 new cases, two days in a row. According to city health department, Delhi registered a nearly three-fold rise in the Covid-19 positivity rate between 11-18 April.
