People are being urged 'not to rush back' to the Peak District after the region saw an increase in visitors 're-connecting with the outdoors' following the government’s changes to the lockdown.
The national park’s chief executive, Sarah Fowler, has reiterated that it’s important “people do not rush back” so the park has the space and time to “offer a warm welcome when all our visitor and hospitality facilities can open once again.” She asks that those who do want to explore the landscapes to do it “with respect” - for the people and wildlife that call it home - after litter and BBQs being left on a number of occaisions.
