A pooch who has a special ritual of hugging his owners goodbye every time they leave the house has sent dog lovers on Reddit swooning.
Max, an American Cocker Spaniel in his later years, was caught on video performing his endearing habit. In the clip, he stands on his hind legs and places his paws on his owner’s chest while frantically wagging his tail.
His owner then wraps his arms around his beloved animal who snuggles into his chest. The video has been up-voted more than 23,000 times on Reddit and is littered with gushing comments about the adorable pooch.
A dog lover said: "This might be the cutest thing I've seen all month." "He's giving you a hug so you promise to come home," said one smitten fan.
