An SPFL club has contemplated administration as a result of the ongoing coronavirus crisis, according to a report. Clubs have been unable to access the funds garnered from gate receipts and other match-day revenues like concession stands, programme sales and corporate hospitality.
While the top leagues in Europe see most of their income arrive in their coffers from TV money, smaller leagues like the Scottish Premiership rely on their fans to provide the cash to keep them solvent.
And reporter Chris McLaughlin, speaking on the BBC Sportsound podcast has suggested talks at one club over insolvency show we are already at a dangerous stage.
