A pizza shop manager has died of coronavirus, leaving customers and colleagues shocked. Domino's worker Mofizul Islam, worked at the Eskbank branch in Midlothian, Scotland.
The team manager fell ill and stopped working at the store on Sunday, March 22, just before lockdown measures were announced.
It’s understood that staff were told of the 49-year-old's tragic death on Monday. There are currently 747 cases of coronavirus in the Lothians and a total of of 495 Scots have now died.
A spokeswoman for Domino’s sent condolences to Mofizul’s family and said the company are constantly reviewing the safest ways to continue food delivery.
