A church in Dublin, which had allowed people attend mass there during the current public health emergency, closed its doors to parishioners for this morning's mass.
It comes after the Archbishop of Dublin issued a document reminding parishes not to "go it alone" and have mass open to the public in violation of the public health norm.
Parish Priest at the Chuch of the Guardian Angels, Fr Dermot Leycock, said that the doors would remain closed during daily mass at 10am, until he was "given the all clear" to allow members of the public to attend again.
Fr Leycock explained that members of the public had been permitted to enter the church for mass before this, so long as they adhered to social distancing guidelines.
