Dublin port expects drop in cargo and passengers

Dublin Port has said it expects a very significant decline in cargo volumes and passenger traffic during the second quarter of the year.

It follows the release of its trading figures for the first three months of 2020, which show an overall port tonnage decrease of 4.8% compared to the same period last year.

The port said the impact of the coronavirus, particularly in March, coupled with significant disruption to shipping in February caused by bad weather, led to reduced volumes.
