Dumfries chip shop boss Gino Tamburrini has found a novel new way to meet coronavirus restrictions by serving from a side window.The popular Peter’s chippy at the Midsteeple is open for business as usual.However, Gino was able to make use of a small window to ensure no customers go inside the shop.

His staff take orders and payment through the window then hand back the meals.Gino, 57, said: “We were determined not to shut and all the staff were delighted to get to work instead of going insane at home.“They have been working really hard and when all this is over I will be taking them out for a big meal.“They are all 100 per cent behind this and we couldn’t have stayed open without them.The Daily Record has launched our NHS Heroes campaign to
