Northern Ireland's power-sharing Executive is expected to confirm a significant further easing of restrictions linked to the pandemic emergency later today.
It is understood that church services will be able to resume from 29 June, hairdressing salons can reopen from 6 July, in the education sector teachers will resume on 17 August , with an 24 August target start date for students.
Shielding measures involving 95,000 people in vulnerable groups remaining at home will be paused at the end of July. The incidence of the Covid-19 illness will continue to be monitored and the option to adjust the easing of restrictions will remain in place.
