Ed Sheeran may be a multi-millionaire but even he has suffered in the Covid pandemic, admitting his new restaurant got off to a ‘rocky start’. The Shape Of You singer opened Bertie Blossoms in Notting Hill, west London not long before the global health crisis began in March 2020.
He manages the pub with his manager, Stuart Camp, and it’s named after both of their spouses – Ed’s wife Cherry Seaborn and Stuart’s partner Liberty Shaw.
Despite Ed’s superstar status, the business hasn’t had an easy launch as it was forced to close just months after opening. Speaking to Jessie Ware on her popular Table Manners podcast, the musician explained: ‘It’s had a rocky start as it opened two months before the pandemic.
