Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is “optimistic” that Premier League action will restart in June. And the Old Trafford chief believes that the 2020-21 Premier League season will indeed be finished on schedule next May.
Woodward made the declarations to United investors during a conference call on Thursday after United had unveiled their latest financial accounts.
The club announced that net debt has risen to £429.1million amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis, with the club no longer predicting revenues of up to £580million.
Woodward also labelled the current situation as "one of the most extraordinary and testing periods in the club's 142-year history," but insisted: "Manchester United is a resilient club and company -
