EFL chairman Rick Parry has confirmed that a circuit breaker with fixtures was considered this weekend but was ultimately shelved.
There have been calls this week for football to take a break with the rising number of coronavirus cases, with plenty of postponements in the Premier League and Football League this weekend.
In total, 19 games in the EFL have been postponed this weekend, including Bolton Wanderers' clash with Wycombe Wanderers, as clubs across the country have confirmed positive cases in recent days.
