Emmerdale star Tony Audenshaw has admitted the exit of one of his long-standing co-stars was emotional after they left the soap in tragic scenes.

During the New Year's Day trip to the Dales, viewers were heartbroken to discover Bob's son Heath Hope had died. The teen, alongside his twin sister Cathy and their friend Angelica King, had decided to steal Wendy Posner's car to get to a New Year's Eve party they wanted to attend, which their parents had refused to take them to.

Viewers saw them in the car with Heath encouraging his sister to put her foot down as it was taking them too long to get to the party and Cathy had decided to take them through the back roads, which were like country lanes and pitch black.

They had a near miss, seemingly with Aaron Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd as they were out stealing cars.
