England cricket officials are hoping to play six Tests at two venues this summer in a newly proposed schedule for the season.
Like all sports, cricket has been put on hold amid the coronavirus pandemic - with the ECB recently postponing the start of their new Hundred competitionuntil next season.
It is believed they may also be forced to scrap the County Championship and the T20 Blast in the coming weeks. But according to the Daily Mail , the England side could be set to play six tests against West Indies and Pakistan at only two home venues this summer.
The Ageas Bowl and Emirates Old Trafford would both stage three Tests each as part of plans to carry out this season’s international cricket behind closed doors from July 8.
