Detectives are trying to trace a man in connection with an attack on an NHS doctor who was set upon after being followed home from work during the coronavirus lockdown.
The 37-year-old medic, who has not been named, was followed on a train after finishing her shift, Daily Record reports. While she was on the phone to police the man attacked her.
She was taken to hospital to be treated for mouth injuries from the assault, which also left her with a broken tooth. Detectives have now released CCTV footage of a man they want to trace in connection with the incident.
The attacker followed her since she boarded a train at the Shadwell DLR station in east London on April 17. She tried to lose him by getting off in Canning Town and re-boarding.
