Estudiantes boss gives update on Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo's future

Estudiantes manager Leandro Desabato has admitted that Marcos Rojo will likely return to Manchester United upon the completion of his loan spell.

After only making nine appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season, Rojo was allowed to leave the club on loan in January to return to his native Argentina for the rest of the season.

However, the 30-year-old has only made a single appearance for Estudiantes as he once again struggled with injuries before coronavirus put a halt to the season.

The lack of game time at his boyhood club had come as a big blow to Rojo and he outlined his desire to remain in Argentina when his loan expired. "If it depends on me, I will speak to Manchester United's management about the possibility of staying here
