Odion Ighalo update as Manchester United striker set to leave today

Manchester United are staying tight-lipped over the extension of Odion Ighalo's loan, with the striker set to leave the club today (Sunday).

MEN Sport understands United are still optimistic about keeping Ighalo for the remainder of the rescheduled Premier League season.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have so far been unable to make a breakthrough in the talks with his Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua, and his deal expires today (May 31st).

As it stands, Ighalo will technically cease to become a United player and may have trained with his teammates for the final time.
