It found that 8.8% of people who tested positive for the virus also reported a skin rash as part of their symptoms.A further 8.2% of people, who were yet to take a test virus, reported similar symptoms in addition to the main three linked to Covid - a continuous cough, fever and a loss of taste or smell.
The study found that rashes were reported in a number of people who had been hospitalised with severe symptoms of the disease in China and Europe.
