F1 confirm two British Grand Prix races as new race schedule is announced

Formula One have confirmed the 2020 season will begin in Austria next month, with two British grands prix also taking place on the eight-race calendar.

The coronavirus pandemic has brought a halt to the sport in recent months. But an easing on travel restrictions for drivers and their teams means racing will finally get underway next month in Austria.

An eight-race European calendar has been drawn up for the coming months. In a statement this morning, F1 chiefs said: "Formula 1 today confirmed the 2020 season will begin in Austria next month – and revealed details on the first eight races of a new calendar.
