Chelsea have been given a glimmer of hope in their bid to sign Ben Chillwell from Leicester this summer. The west London club are already close to completing a £53million move for striker Timo Werner.
And boss Frank Lampard wants to continue his spending spree with the capture of England left-back Chillwell. Leicester, who look set to qualify for next season's Champions League, were holding out for £80m for the 23-year-old.
But according to the Evening Standard, the Foxes may now be willing to accept a few closer to Chelsea's £50m valuation. Chilwell is contracted to Leicester until 2024 but harbours hopes of joining a bigger club.
