Champions League matches are all set to be held in empty stadiums amid the coronavirus pandemic. But authorities are believed to be keen to allow fans back in once it is safe to do so and The Times claim the Community Shield could be used as a test event. It’s reported that the match between the FA Cup winners and Premier League champions is only 50-50 to take place due to the shortened time-frame for next season. However, should the match go ahead, The Times add that it could be used to help plan how supporters can attend under social-distancing restrictions. The match is usually played at Wembley though it’s claimed that it could be played at any neutral stadium if that was deemed more useful for planning purposes and monitoring use of public.
