Support for disabled children will be 'adversely impacted for the foreseeable future' as the NHS battles coronavirus, a charity has warned.
Charity bosses from Caudwell Children say they are facing up to a £3m loss from charity events that have been cancelled or postponed due to the current lockdown.
The charity, which supports disabled children and their families, has launched an emergency appeal to make sure children can continue to access the services they need following the outbreak. “Families with disabled children are feeling vulnerable and isolated,” CEO Trudi Beswick says. “The increased burden placed on the NHS and social services means that support for disabled children will be adversely impacted for the foreseeable future. “Howev
