DANIA BEACH, Fla. – Florida authorities are investigating the death of a woman whose body was discovered Tuesday afternoon by a hotel employee.Broward County sheriff's deputies are considering the death at a Dania Beach hotel to be suspicious, WPLG-TV reports.

The body was found when the employee entered a guest room.“Upon deputies’ arrival, they located an adult female unresponsive on the third floor of the hotel,” Sgt.

Donald Prichard said. “Broward homicide detectives are classifying this as a suspicious death and are trying to identify the cause of death for the female.”Some guests checked out of the hotel after learning of the death.

PHILADELPHIA - No one was injured after a gunman opened fire on a Philadelphia police officer during a shootout Wednesday afternoon in Germantown.Philadelphia Police Sergeant Eric Gripp told reporters that two plainclothes officers in an unmarked car were patrolling the 4800 block of Keyser Street around 2 p.m. when they came upon a shootout between a 23-year-old and a 20-year-old.
