Food Warehouse bosses have issued an update on their latest Ayrshire venture.Before the country went into lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, progress was being made on the new supermarket in Kilmarnock.Housed in the former Aldi unit at Glencairn Retail Park, the new store was set to be the latest supermarket brand to arrive in town.Part of the Iceland Foods Group, work has stopped on the project during the pandemic.Food Warehouse already has stores in Irvine and Ayr.But Iceland bosses confirmed today the new supermarket will still be opening this summer.No exact date has been given but the new store is expected to open in June.A spokeswoman said: "Founded in 2014, The Food Warehouse now has more than 120 stores across Britain.
