Arsenal Invincible Jens Lehmann wants to start his managerial career in an unlikely destination. The 50-year-old is believed to be interested in the vacant role at Dundee United after Robbie Neilson left to join Hearts after securing promotion to the Scottish Premiership.

Lehmann, who made 61 appearances for Germany between 1998 and 2008, is yet to take his first role as a head coach, but has spent time as an assistant at both the Emirates and with Augsburg in the Bundesliga.

The 2020/21 Premiership season is set to get underway in August after the previous season was brought to a close, and Lehmann could join the likes of Neil Lennon and Steven Gerrard in the dugout.
