Two people have been killed and several others injured following a stabbing outside a bakery in France, reports claim. Emergency services dashed to the horror in Romans-sur-Isère, southern France, after it is thought a man stabbed multiple people.
Two of whom have since died but at least three are thought to be in critical conditions in hospital. Local media says the assailant is a Sudanese national who is aged 33.
He was subdued by authorities and arrested at the scene. Some publications claim the man shouted "Allahu Akbar" while charging at his victims.
France’s National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office is evaluating the case. It is believed the victims were in the queue to enter the bakery.
