He may have only just said goodbye to the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle, but First Dates’ Fred Sirieix already has his sights set on another top reality TV show.

Having first appeared on Channel 4’s First Dates as a maître d'hôtel back in 2013, Fred has become a familiar face on the show and has subsequently starred in shows including Celebrity Gogglebox, the Ultimate Wedding Planner and Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip.

And while the 51 year old is keen on being part of First Date for “as long as it carries on for”, Fred has revealed that he’d like to do other TV, having recently appeared in the I’m A Celeb jungle where he became the third star to leave camp. “I did the 2021 Strictly Christmas special and I was so scared but on the night I exploded, I was so excited,” he told OK!. “The full series is three months – it’s really hardcore and I’ve got bad knees – but I probably would do it.” With First Dates turning Fred into a household name, the TV personality has seen it all when it comes to dating and has learned a thing or two about how romantic relationships have changed over the years. “Daters are definitely pickier now,” he said. “You could be online and talking to 10 different people at the same time.

In the old days you would be in a bar and you’d be talking to one person at a time. It makes people want to swipe in their head.” He added: “But in terms of what they’re looking for, they are looking for love and they want to make a connection.” In fact, with a decade on our screens, Fred revealed that he’d even put a few of his friends forward for the show for the latest series, though it sadly wasn’t meant to be.
