Manchester United legend Gary Neville is reportedly involved in talks between PFC chiefs, EFL club and players amid the coronavirus pandemic.
There are believed to have been clashes between the groups over suggestions that wages should be reduced or deferred. Under the PFA and EFL’s planned pay deferrals, players earning less than £2,500 a month would still be paid in full while those on more would have a maximum of 25 per cent deferred.
Many players are reportedly refusing to accept the proposals though could agree as long as it’s confirmed that it does not turn into an actual pay cut.
