Gary Neville has admitted he is "a lot less confident" of the domestic season being completed amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Salford City co-owner has been central to discussions between the EFL and PFA as to how the campaign could reach a resolution in the coming months.

One suggestion being mooted is the potential for players to be quarantined for weeks while all fixtures are played out over a short period.

But league officials are largely reacting to UK government guidelines, with the country on lockdown for at least another three weeks and that date likely to be extended further.
