The family of a seven-year-old girl stabbed to death in Bolton have paid tribute to her. Police were called to the park in the Queen's Park area of the town where they found little Emily Jones suffering from her injuries.
She had been slashed in the throat by a woman in front of her horrified mum and dad. Emily sadly passed away later despite the best efforts of her family and medical responders.
A 30-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. She was assessed by specialist medical staff and detained under the Mental Health Act, and remains in a highly secure facility.
Paying tribute to Emily, her parents said: "Emily was seven years old, our only child and the light of our lives. "She was always full of joy, love and
