Glasgow has undergone a deep clean after a member of staff tested positive for coronavirus. Store bosses took immediate action and shut the outlet on Union Street after learning through Covid-19 contact tracing that a staff contractor had tested positive.
The retailer confirmed the store was closed for deep-cleaning to be carried out. Four other Poundland employees have also been made to self-isolate after coming into contact with the security guard who contracted the virus.The shop reopened on Thursday, September 3, and is now operating as normal.No other Poundland store in the city is thought to be affected.
